How We Deliver

The standards every EDDO ride is held to — for passengers and drivers alike.

Booking & Dispatch

1.

Rides are dispatched to the nearest available driver. Estimated arrival times are displayed at booking and updated in real time.

2.

Passengers must provide an accurate pick-up address. EDDO is not liable for delays caused by incorrect location details.

3.

Advance bookings can be made up to 7 days ahead. A driver is assigned no more than 30 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.

4.

EDDO reserves the right to cancel a booking if no driver is available in your area. You will be notified immediately and no charge will apply.

Fares & Pricing

1.

All fares are quoted in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) and calculated based on distance, ride type, and time of day.

2.

Surge pricing may apply during peak hours (06:00–09:00 and 16:00–19:00), public holidays, and periods of high demand. Passengers are notified before confirming.

3.

Waiting time beyond 3 minutes at pick-up is charged at K2 per minute for Standard rides and K3 per minute for Executive and Airport rides.

4.

Toll fees, parking fees, and any other third-party charges incurred during a trip are the passenger's responsibility and will be added to the final fare.

5.

The quoted fare is an estimate. Final fare may vary due to route changes, traffic, or waiting time. Passengers are informed of any significant deviation before it is applied.

Passenger Conduct

1.

Passengers must wear a seatbelt at all times. Drivers are authorised to decline or end a trip if a passenger refuses.

2.

Smoking, vaping, and consumption of alcohol or illegal substances inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.

3.

Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle during their trip. A cleaning or repair fee of up to K500 may be charged.

4.

Abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour towards drivers will result in immediate account suspension.

5.

A maximum of 4 passengers per Standard ride and 3 per Executive ride. Overloading is a legal offence and drivers will not proceed.

Driver Standards

1.

All EDDO drivers hold a valid Zambian driver's licence and have passed a background and vehicle safety check before activation.

2.

Drivers must maintain a minimum rating of 4.0 out of 5.0. Accounts falling below this threshold are reviewed and may be suspended.

3.

Drivers must follow the route suggested by the EDDO app unless the passenger requests a change. Unauthorised detours are a policy violation.

4.

Vehicles must be clean, roadworthy, and display the EDDO driver sticker at all times while on duty.

5.

Drivers may not solicit cash payments for rides booked through the EDDO platform. All fares must be settled through the app.

Safety & Emergencies

1.

Every EDDO ride is tracked in real time. Trip data including route, duration, and driver identity is stored securely for 90 days.

2.

Passengers can share their live trip status with a trusted contact directly from the booking confirmation screen.

3.

In an emergency, call 999 (Zambia Police) or 991 (Zambia Ambulance). Contact EDDO support immediately after on +260 774 869 427.

4.

Lost property found in a vehicle should be reported within 24 hours. EDDO will facilitate return but is not liable for items left in vehicles.

Ratings & Feedback

1.

After every completed trip, passengers are invited to rate their driver out of 5 stars and leave optional feedback.

2.

Ratings are anonymous. Drivers can see their average score but not individual passenger identities.

3.

Passengers who consistently give unfair or retaliatory ratings may have their rating privileges reviewed.

4.

Drivers may also rate passengers. Passengers with a rating below 3.5 may experience longer wait times or limited availability.
